The Estlcam LPT / parallel-port adapter makes it easy to keep using older CNC controls with a parallel-port connection. Since modern PCs and laptops no longer have an LPT interface, this adapter is the ideal bridge between proven hardware and modern USB control. It connects to the 25-pin parallel port and links to the computer via USB.

Der häufigste Einsatz: Eine gut erhaltene Fräse von Stepcraft, Sorotec, CNC-STEP oder GoCNC soll an einem aktuellen Notebook ohne LPT laufen. Der Adapter übersetzt die USB-Verbindung auf den gewohnten Parallelport – die bestehende Endstufenelektronik bleibt unangetastet.
The most common use: a well-kept mill from Stepcraft, Sorotec, CNC-STEP or GoCNC should run on a current laptop without LPT. The adapter translates the USB connection to the familiar parallel port – the existing driver electronics stay untouched.

If a machine still runs on old, unmaintained LPT software, the adapter enables the move to current Estlcam without changing the driver wiring – a gentle modernisation step.

Verfügt die angeschlossene Elektronik über zwei getrennte Y-Eingänge, lässt sich über die freie Pinbelegung auch eine doppelte Y-Ansteuerung einrichten – Autosquaring wird so selbst bei einer nachgerüsteten Maschine möglich.

Entscheidend ist, dass deine Elektronik über den Parallelport Step/Dir-Signale erwartet – das ist bei den allermeisten Hobby- und Semi-Profi-Steuerungen der Fall. Für gängige Hersteller gibt es fertige Profile; alles andere stellst du über die freie Pinbelegung ein.
What matters is that your electronics expect Step/Dir signals over the parallel port – which is the case for the vast majority of hobby and semi-pro controls. Ready-made profiles exist for common brands; anything else you set via the free pin assignment.
Er liefert keinen 0–10-V-Analogausgang. Eine analog drehzahlgeregelte Spindel muss daher über die vorhandene Elektronik oder per PWM gelöst werden. Plane das ein, bevor du auf den Adapter umstellst.
It provides no 0–10 V analog output. An analog speed-controlled spindle must therefore be handled via the existing electronics or by PWM. Plan for this before switching to the adapter.
Wenn die Mechanik deiner Maschine in Ordnung ist und nur der fehlende Parallelport am modernen PC stört, ist der Adapter die mit Abstand günstigste Lösung – deutlich preiswerter als eine komplett neue Steuerung.
If your machine's mechanics are fine and only the missing parallel port on a modern PC is the problem, the adapter is by far the cheapest solution – significantly less than a completely new control.
